Robber bees have the ability to steal some honey if there is not enough nectar for their food. In such cases, you should close the hive at once and open it the next day. You can use a lighted smoker that produce cool smoke when you work. This will make the bees scatter for a while. This way, there are fewer chances that you can hurt them.
